Is it just me, or would you agree they turned their
average home into something lovely and amazing???

Check out how nice the painted paneling looks.
I think that will be the case in my new home too.
Miles and miles of paneling.

Just found The Lettered Cottage.
I hope they'll be my new best friends.

1. Paint paneling or remove or plank - priming started - DONE
2. Remove ceramic tile and add hardwood - DONE $5000
3. Add French doors in place of sliding glass doors - removal done
4. Redo Kitchen -DONE $1500+
5. New Roof
6. Repair Foundation - DONE $6000
7. Create new window treatments - almost DONE
8. Renovate bathrooms, install at least one tub (saw a really cute mini claw foot tub that I am lusting after...) - $1500+ DONE
9. Wallpaper back bathroom - purchased $60
10. Add French doors - DONE $300
11. Install recessed lighting - DONE $600
12. Stone in entry stripped - DONE $30
13. Create a mini mudroom somewhere??? In the entry? (have a great idea for this)
14. Come up with an amazing idea to change the countertops,
sink, faucet, and create an island feeling instead of peninsula (I have the plan in my mind, but will have to wait to be able to tear everything out and start from scratch...). DONE
15. New floor in front room - DONE $600
16. Mount tv on wall or above fireplace, new mantel - DONE
17. Added concrete patio off backdoor - DONE $2000+
18. Painted brick walls - DONE
19. Install new baseboards - DONE
20. Add patio to backyard - DONE
21. Build raised garden beds - DONE
22. Remove and replace master bedroom carpet - DONE

24. Install molding and built-in cupboards in schoolroom - DONE

26. Paint schoolroom - DONE (had to remove tons of wallpaper, add drywall to the newly enclosed wall - took forever!)
27. Install new Ikea light fixture in schoolroom - DONE
28. Prime and Paint beams in living room - Priming DONE
29. Paint entryway - DONE
30. Install new front door and mailbox - OCTOBER 2014
31. Paint backdoor - DONE
32. Paint shed door - DONE
33. Landscape front yard - ????
34. Paint hallway - 1/2 done
35. Paint all door white or espresso
36. Paint laundry room again
37. Paint sunroom - DONE
38. Tear out old pantry cabinets - DONE
39. Change out carpet in Darcy's room and Daddy's office
40. Paint Daddy's and Darcy's walls - almost DONE
41. Knock down "bar" area to counter height, and new bar top - DONE
42. Add new backsplash to kitchen walls and open shelves - DONE
43. New range and custom hood - DONE
44. Move half of raised bed stones to new location - DONE

Necessary Purchases:

Freezerless Fridgidaire Refrigerator (Stainless) - found a French door version that I adore...the Lowes dude said that the freezerless doesn't have that much more space than this one...and they are comparable prices...about $2400 with discount. Then I saw the same one with a dent in the side for $1700...seems like a lot for a fridge though. Will have to think about this for a while...and save pennies. -ENDED UP PURCHASING FROM HOME DEPOT FOR $1200, DID NOT GET WATER DISPENSER - DONE
Frigidaire Stainless Steel Dishwasher (stainless from Lowes - super quiet and high efficiency...highly recommended) DONE
Washer & Dryer (Samsung on sale with risers!) DONE
New cooking set (ie. pots and pans etc found a set at Sam's Club that I love!) DONE - PURCHASED ON AMAZON
Large area rugs (Ikea & Homegoods) - was looking at Crate and Barrel and they have a lovely cotton rug in teal that has caught my eye, for $100! (DONE, ENDED UP GETTING INDOOR/OUTDOOR RUGS ONLINE - JUST HOSE OFF WHEN THEY GET DIRTY)
New plush bath towels (Marshalls - Egyptian cotton in robin's egg blue) DONE
Possibly replace the wall unit oven. UPDATE: removed and purchased new range from GE with matching microwave. Although microwave is not installed yet.
Replace flooring - DONE (maple)
Spray all the interior doors glossy white or espresso???
New dining/breakfast room set - found a white pedestal table at a local flea market for $55, am painting it white. DONE
New dining chairs - cool white metal ones from Ikea - DONE
